Simple, Transparent Pricing
The shipper pays the agreed price plus one fixed percentage. The hauler is paid the full agreed price. Payments are held in escrow (Coming soon) until the shipper accepts delivery.

How our pricing works
One fixed percentage
Our standard fee is 8.05% of the agreed price, on every load and route. If a different rate has been agreed with your company, it is shown before you pay.
Shown before you pay
The fee is added to the shipper's payment into escrow (Coming soon), together with a payment processing fee. The total is shown before the shipper pays, and there is no separate invoice to chase.
Only when you book a load
The fee applies to transactions. Registering, posting a load and sending a quote do not carry a platform fee.
Safe for both sides, from quote to payout
-
The shipper accepts a quote
The price is agreed on the Load Board before anything moves, so nobody is surprised later.
-
The shipper pays into escrow (Coming soon)
The shipper pays the agreed price, our platform fee and a payment processing fee. The agreed price is held in escrow (Coming soon): the hauler knows the money is there, and the shipper knows it is not paid out until the job is done.
-
The load is delivered
The hauler moves the cargo and marks it delivered. The shipper accepts delivery or raises a dispute. If the shipper does not respond within 48 hours, delivery is accepted automatically.
-
The hauler is paid in full
The full agreed price is released from escrow (Coming soon) to the hauler. Our platform fee was paid by the shipper, so nothing is deducted from the hauler's price.

| Agreed load price (the hauler is paid this in full) | Platform fee (8.05%, paid by the shipper) | Shipper pays, before the processing fee |
|---|---|---|
| R5 000 | R402.50 | R5 402.50 |
| R20 000 | R1 610 | R21 610 |
| R50 000 | R4 025 | R54 025 |
Examples are for illustration. The shipper pays the platform fee on top of the agreed price, and the hauler receives the full agreed price. The payment processing fee is added when the shipper pays, and is shown before they confirm. Loads For Africa is not VAT registered at present, so no VAT is added to the platform fee.
One fee covers the whole platform
There is no tier to choose and no feature locked behind a plan. Hauliers pay nothing to use the platform; shippers pay the platform fee when they book a load.
- Load Board and Bid Board: post loads, compare quotes, revise or withdraw a bid, and follow every job.
- Checked hauliers: company documents, Goods-in-Transit insurance and licence disks are reviewed by our team.
- Email alerts: hauliers hear about new loads that match their trucks and routes.
- Fleet, team and driver tools: manage trucks, give staff the right access, and send each driver only their own jobs.
- Address privacy: street addresses and contacts are shared only with the shipper and the assigned driver.
- Payment protection: escrow (Coming soon) holds the money until the job is done.
